Welcome to The Elms Nursery and Pre-School
We are a private day Nursery and Pre-School in Long Eaton, close to Nottingham and Derby, with superb access from the A52 and junction 25 of the M1 motorway. Our Nursery and Pre-school forms part of The Elms Junior School and Trent College.
As you walk through our doors you will be greeted with the warmth and friendliness of our special environment.
Our purpose-built nursery and pre-school site, set in beautiful 45 acre grounds with our schools, is the perfect setting to provide children with a calm, secure and stimulating environment in which to grow.
We provide high quality care for children aged from 6 weeks to 4 years of age, in dedicated areas and with specialist staff to meet the needs of different stages of learning and development.
The Elms Nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm, 51 weeks of the year (excluding bank holidays).
Normal full day opening times are 8.00am to 5.00pm. There is a charge in addition to normal fees for care before and after these times.
Our highly motivated and enthusiastic staff provide a happy and caring environment in which children can learn and develop.
We work closely with parents, welcoming your observations and knowledge of your child and we value the strong partnership between parents and the Nursery team.
Your child will be assigned a key worker who has special responsibilities to ensure they feel safe and cared for. The key worker will share details of your child’s achievements and developments with you and is always keen to learn about experiences the child has been exploring out of school.
At The Elms Nursery & Pre-School we have a Qualified Early Years Teacher, read our Head's Blog (April 2016) on the importance of 'The Importance of Qualified Early Years Teachers'.
Our facilities and care provision are first class, with light and spacious areas for the children to enjoy, both inside and out.
Each area of our nursery is equipped with age appropriate facilities and has the space needed for young children to learn, play and develop.
Quiet nap areas and cots for babies and toddlers are provided in separate calm rooms, whilst a kitchen enables bottle making and healthy snacks.
The outside areas are ample and safe and used throughout the year.
