After School Care

After School Care is available to all students. It is a service offered to those parents who require extra supervision for their children out of the normal school hours. After School Care starts at 3.15pm and continues until 6pm every school evening however, as a school we much prefer our younger pupils in the Nursery be collected before 4.50pm.

NURSERY

For our very young pupils from the Nursery after school care is available and is held in our lovely Anne Beardsley Nursery facility.

Here the Nursery pupils are kept safe, secure and stimulated to ensure that even when they remain after the learning programme for the day is complete there are still exciting things happening and a high standard of care and welfare in evidence.

After 5pm the young pupils are taken across to join the older pupils from the school who await collection.

RECEPTION AND KEY STAGE ONE

Our Reception Year 1 and Year 2 pupils enjoy the stimulating and exciting  environment created for them in the lower Obolensky for their after school care routine; here they receive opportunities for playand creativity whist awaiting collection. Supervision is provided by full time Nursery Nurses accustomed to the needs of young pupils after a full and challenging day in school. Outside play during fine weather and artistic activities when not, help provide a positive experience for those booked into our extended day provision.

KEY STAGE TWO

After a short break following the normal school day the teacher supervised homework routine commences in Elms Upper School for those not engaged on one of our after school extra curricular activities.

At 4.30pm the older pupils are transfered to the Lower Obolensky where they join with the remaining Reception and Key Stage One children to be collected by 6pm.
